We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Case Manager in our Client Support Services Team. The Case Managers provide intensive settlement services to refugees from diverse cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. Case Managers are assigned a client caseload and collaborate closely with the settlement and integration team to provide necessary support to their clients. The primary objective for Case Managers is to identify client's needs and connect them to the necessary supports and services. Support to clients is provided to address their settlement requirements, fostering a meaningful life, self-sufficiency and integration into the community.? Due to our current client caseload, we are looking for candidates who can communicate in Tigrinya and Amharic.

What you'll do:
- Conducting client needs assessments to evaluate and prioritize clients' needs, referring them to appropriate community services including, healthcare, employment and housing.??
- Monitoring and evaluating clients progress in attaining community services.?
- Facilitating orientation and information sessions with clients.??
- Scheduling and, if needed, accompanying clients to appointments in the community (mainly by public transportation), supporting them to learn how to navigate the services.?
- Administering formal interviews and assessments to monitor settlement progress and support program evaluation.??
- Regular communication and home visits to clients to assess needs and settlement progress.?
- Ensuring that process, settlement, and referral needs are appropriately addressed.?
- Empowering clients to be actively involved in developing their settlement plan.??
- Organize case conferences with internal/external partners, as necessary.?
- Entering data in internal and external databases, in a timely manner.??
- Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with service providers, advocating for the improved access to services.?

What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in social service work, community service worker or equivalent education/experience in social services, non-profit sectors, or international human service fields.?
- At least 1-3 years' experience in providing direct service to refugees and immigrants in a similar position.?
- Able to communicate with others in Tigrinya and Amharic.
- Commitment to upholding refugee and immigrant rights.?
- Strong administrative and computer skills with proven knowledge of Microsoft 365.??
- Experience working with Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database an asset.??
- Possess strong knowledge about the local community and resources available.??
- Understanding of how to manage urgent or emergency situations.?
- High level of active listening and interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal, both in-person and virtual contexts.?
- A high level of self-awareness, intercultural competency, and sensitive to cultural and life experiences including trauma and harm.?
- Excellent resourcefulness, problem solving and organization skills.?
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a larger team.?
- Flexibility, time management skills and the ability to follow instructions are essential
