- Don’t forget to network. The people at the event with you can form part of your contact network - do they have ideas or suggestions?
- Once you have accomplished your main goals, you can pick other people and/or booths to visit – you may be surprised by a connection or piece of information.
- When you meet someone, collect information to read later, and be sure to gather business cards. If people do not have a business card, write down their name, address, telephone number and email address. Ask permission to contact them at a later point if you have more questions.
- Be warm, confident and friendly. This informal way of meeting people can work quite well. Be sure not to stay too long with one person.
