Wilmot Family Resource Centre (WFRC) is a charitable, multi- service organization with locations in Baden, Wellesley, and New Hamburg, focusing on strong and healthy communities where all individuals are accepted and where there are opportunities to participate and grow.

Wilmot Family Resource Centre is currently hiring a full-time Food and Program Support Worker for 35 paid hours per week. Daytime, evening and weekend shifts will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track and communicate food support program data, statistics, and mandatory reporting
- Maintain and perform product inventory
- Knowledge of and adherence to all provincial and regional food and workplace safety policies; including maintaining cleanliness, food safety and physical accessibility within the foodbank
- Supervision of volunteers; organize and delegate tasks to volunteers
- Working directly with clients, completing client intake and assessment, as well as providing information and referrals to other supports clients may require (ex. housing, clothing, etc)
- Maintains & builds professional relationships with clients, partners, staff, and community at large
- Ensures that agency food support program standards, guidelines and policies are followed, and the program aligns to the organizations Mission, Vision, Values, and strategic direction
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of program development and delivery
- Ensures that all donated and purchased food is processed according to agency requirements including sorting, cleaning, checking expiration dates, marking products, storage
- Assist with special events and projects of the agency, and provide program support
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- A diploma or degree related to this position and related skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with data entry and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire others
- Strong interpersonal skills including exercising compassion, discernment, & modelling of appropriate boundaries
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment
- Experience working with diverse populations, utilizing anti-discrimination, community building and participant-centred approaches to practice
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs
- Access to transportation and a valid driver's license
- Certified Food Handler Course completion or willingness to complete
- Clean Vulnerable Police Records Check
- Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy is in place for all employees

DETAILS: Full-time 35 hours/week, $22.00/hour starting wage, expected start date in November 2024.
