Job Duties:
The successful Applicant will perform the following duties:
- Reconcile timesheets, verify their accuracy, and keep associated records and trackers
- Develop and process vendor and client invoices, keep associated records, and maintain balances, using QuickBooks Online
- Post journal entries, maintain, and reconcile accounts using QuickBooks Online
- Calculate, verify, and process employee payroll and contractor payments
- Perform employee enrollment and termination procedures
- Assist in preparing tax returns and remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, WSIB, HST, EHT, and other government-related documents
- Perform other Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, and prepare other financial and accounting reports
Skills Requirements:
- Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field, or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) or courses in accounting combined with several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk;
- Previous experience with with Payworks/Deluxe Payroll and ADP Payroll;
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Solid understanding of the general principles of bookkeeping and accounting, and CRA laws and regulations;
- Strong understanding of math and numbers with proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records;
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.

Wages:
