Kitchener – St. Mary’s General Hospital is seeking 10 patients and/or family members to join its inaugural Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC).
Members of the council will serve in an advisory capacity and make recommendations on matters that impact the patient and family experience at St. Mary's. This could mean providing input on policies, such as visiting hours and parking, as well as participating in the hospital’s strategic planning process and annual quality improvement plan. The Council will meet six times a year from September to June.
The only qualifications are an enthusiastic interest in excellence and patient-centred care, along with some experience at St. Mary’s in the last two years (inpatient or outpatient).
