You may already know about www.Coursera.org, www.edx.org, and many others of the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) out there, where you can take courses online for free (or occasionally for a fee if it provides you with a recognized school credit).
Gale courses (see link above), in Cambridge, seem to be a bit simpler than some of the other MOOCs, as the others are often university-level courses. Under the “Personal Development” category, there are several small courses associated with job searching, including on how to use LinkedIn in your job search. Under the “Design and Composition” category you can find classes about Graphic Design, Web Design (even a course on how to use Wordpress, for more entry-level website creation), and many others.
