The modern world teaches us to be rushed and to be on the move. We have lost our ability to be committed to the same work, the same people, the same place over the long haul. In his writing Wendell Berry invites us to consider that much healing will come if we become rooted again.
Join Joe and Stephanie Mancini who will explore how rootedness has uniquely provided the space for the diverse initiatives of the Working Centre to flourish. Bob Sharpe, from Wilfrid Laurier, will explore the research around the importance of place and how this can help us understand the importance of rootedness.
Fermented Thoughts is our new forum for imaginative thought on social, economic, and ecological issues. Join us for discussion over wine and snacks
