Come join in! The Working Centre Market Garden is a thriving 1.5 acre garden that offers an inclusive, hands-on learning environment as we work together to demonstrate and share knowledge about sustainable food production.
Volunteer gardeners are welcome to join in on daily tasks such as:
- Harvesting
- Washing and preparing produce for market
- Weeding
- Watering
- Seed bed preparation and planting
- Fruit Tree Care
- Landscaping
Volunters will want to come prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing, reusable water bottle, hat, as well as a snack or lunch. We have sunscreen, gloves, and rubber boots to share if you don't have your own. The garden is open rain or shine, though you may want to call ahead if the weather is questionable.
Groups Welcome! We are happy to host as many as 25 volunteer gardeners at any one time. Contact us to make arrangements.
