Supportive Housing

About Supportive Housing

The Working Centre currently hosts 8 units of Supportive Housing, supporting people who have faced long-term homelessness to build housing stability and to maintain stable housing. This housing includes 24/7 tenant support and problem-solving.

We recently sold one of our supportive housing homes to the House of Friendship to support their new housing being built on Charles Street.

Money Matters session at The Working Centre in Kitchener, Ontario, providing financial problem-solving and income tax help for low-income individuals.

The Working Centre is nearing the end of construction of our Making Home project at 97 Victoria Street North. This campus will support 44 units of supportive housing, embedded in a wider hub of supports. Our vision is to incorporate housing stability, health care, support for people experiencing mental health and addictions challenges, and building an array of ways to be involved and active in the community.
