About Job Search Resource Centre
The Working Centre’s Job Search Resource Centre is the heart of helping people to find work and access financial supports. Here, we support over 2,000 people to find work each year.
This busy, informal and friendly resource centre helps people to connect to work opportunities, and to find the work and/or access benefits that can help people support themselves and their families.
We serve many New Canadians, Refugees, and people who are Canadian born, people from all walks of life, with an approach that is inclusive, diverse, and respectful.
We are part of a network of Employment Service providers under EmployNext, offering practical supports for people from all walks of life, responding a person-at-a-time.

Employment counselling
Meet one-on-one with an employment counsellor to write a resume, support your job search or your career path.
You can book an appointment (usually within a couple of weeks), or schedule a short getting-started session (usually within a few days). Employment counsellors offer supports in many languages to make transition to work easier. Please feel free to drop-in and speak with our Resource Centre team to get started.

Supports for Employers
We work closely with a wide range of employers, helping to match suitable employees, to share job leads, and support access to a number of government support programs for employers.
- Post jobs and find employees – We collaborate with EmployNext, providing resources for employers. You may join as an EmployNext employer and post jobs on the Employ Next Portal.
- Hiring supports – We can subsidize and support the hiring of people who might need a bit of training on the job through job trials, job placements, and job coaching. Email us at [email protected] for more information.
- Canada Ontario Jobs Grant – The Working Centre works with employers to apply for COJG grants. Apply on-line through this COJG link to get things started. Our funds are limited but we can also connect you with other organizations who may have funds available.
