Hockey Helps the Homeless
The Working Centre is a partner and recipient of Hockey Helps the Homeless Waterloo Region.
Hockey Helps the Homeless has this goal – Harnessing Canada’s affinity for hockey to raise funds and awareness for homelessness. In Canada, over 30,000 men, women and children are homeless on any given night.
Together we can change this statistic.
Since inception, HHTH Waterloo has granted over $ 2.5 million locally to our 6 partner agencies. All net proceeds from the Waterloo Region event support oneRoof, House of Friendship, Starling Community Services, Cambridge Shelter Corp, YW of K-W, and The Working Centre, which together run the Region’s emergency shelter bed network.
